Helsinki pilot coordination team visits Aalto University’s Otaniemi Campus to learn more about their experiences in campus development. Welcome!
Aalto University will build new premises in the Otaniemi area and will make an effort to bring in offices of both startup enterprises and larger companies. The new School of Arts, Design and Architecture building and the university shopping centre will be completed in the next few years. At that time the School of Business’ bachelors students will have moved to Otaniemi. The Design Factory and Startup Sauna, key locations for innovation activities and interaction, will be linked more closely to the area’s core.

Urban Mill

“Urban Mill is an emerging, global thematic focal point for Urban Innovations. Urban Mill has 1300 m2 co-working and co-creation space linked right to the Aalto University Design Factory and the Startup Sauna in Otaniemi. Together these three act as a physical and social Knowledge Triangle test-bed for the Otaniemi campus.”

EIT Digital Helsinki Node at Open Innovation House
