Live Baltic Campus Study Tour in the Netherlands 2016
In the project Live Baltic Campus we aim at developing campuses as innovation hubs. The idea is to create a working method for participative urban planning which can then be adopted by the cities involved as part of their normal work. Our project also wishes to bring together city planners, government representatives, campus developers and stakeholders and to create a network of practitioners ensuring knowledge transfer between the northern and southern parts of the Central Baltic region. Study tour is the first of the series of events and practical implementations that we will be organising.
On our tour we will see multiple examples of different types of campuses, hear experiences from city – university collaborations as well as learn ideas on how to facilitate the connection with business. During our travel we will also be co-creating a benchmark analysis of what we see and learn by comparing the development processes, cost-effiency and overall effectiveness of different cases. With benchmark analysis we mean a systematic process to identify, understand, learn and apply the best practises for our campus development cases. Our objective is to disseminate new information and to bring about improvements to the sphere of urban development in our six partner cities.
